Try this Orange, hot mustard and pepper crusted beef for a simple family meal to impress. Served with golden, crunchy potatoes, it's guaranteed to be a winner.

Orange, hot mustard and pepper crusted beef


  • 1 orange, rind finely grated, segmented
  • 1 tbs cracked black pepper
  • 2 tbs hot English mustard
  • 1 tbs wholegrain mustard
  • ½ cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 1.2kg Coles Australian Beef Rump Roast
  • 800g baby potatoes, chopped
  • Coles Australian Spinach and Red Beetroot Leaves salad mix, to serve

  1. Step 1

    Preheat a covered barbecue on medium. (Alternatively, preheat oven to 200°C.)
  2. Step 2

    Combine orange rind, pepper, combined mustard, parsley and oil in a small bowl. Season. Spread over top of beef.
  3. Step 3

    Place potato and orange segments in a disposable baking tray. Top with beef. Roast in covered barbecue using indirect heat, or in oven, for 1 hour for medium or until cooked to your liking.
  4. Step 4

    Transfer beef to a plate and cover with foil. Set aside for 15 mins to rest. Serve beef with roast potatoes and salad leaves.
