Delicious prawn pasta is easy when you use cooked prawns and pasta sauce. This prawn, chilli and garlic spaghetti recipe is ready in only 25 minutes.

Prawn, chilli and garlic spaghetti


  • 400g spaghetti
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 1 red onion, cut into thin wedges
  • 4 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 1 long red chilli, thinly sliced
  • 400g jar napoletana pasta sauce
  • 600g Coles Deli Thawed Australian Cooked Black Tiger Prawns Medium, peeled, tails intact
  • ¼ cup small basil leaves

  1. Step 1

    Cook pasta in a large saucepan of salted boiling water for 10 mins or until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of cooking water.
  2. Step 2

    Meanwhile, heat oil in a large deep frying pan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and chilli and cook for 3 mins or until softened. Add the napoletana sauce and reserved cooking water and bring to a simmer. Add prawns and cook for 2 mins or until heated through. Add pasta and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Divide among serving bowls and top with basic leaves to serve.
