Method

  1. Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C. Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring, for 2-3 mins or until onion softens. Add the mince and cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up lumps, for 5 mins or until mince changes colour. Add tomato pasta sauce and cook for 5 mins or until sauce thickens slightly.

  2. Step 2

Meanwhile, place the ravioli in a large heatproof bowl. Pour over boiling water and set aside for 1-2 mins or until the ravioli separate. Drain well.

  3. Step 3

Spread a little mince mixture over the base of a 10-cup (2.5L) baking dish. Arrange one-third of the ravioli over the mince. Top with half the spinach. Spoon half the remaining mince mixture over the spinach and top with half the cheese sauce. Continue layering with the remaining ravioli, mince mixture, spinach and cheese sauce, finishing with a layer of ravioli. Sprinkle with cheese.

  4. Step 4

Bake for 20 mins or until heated through and the cheese melts and is golden. Season and serve with the basil and salad leaves.

Smart swap:
For a tasty meat-free option, swap the beef mince for a can of brown lentils. Simply drain and rinse before adding to your pan.
