Ingredients

  • 200g spaghetti
  • 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbs Laoganma Hot Chilli Oil
  • 1 tsp dried chilli flakes
  • 1 garlic clove, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp caster sugar
  • 1 tbs soy sauce

Method

  1. Step 1

    Cook the pasta in a saucepan of boiling water following packet directions or until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup (60ml) of cooking liquid.
  2. Step 2

    Meanwhile, heat the olive oil and chilli oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the chilli flakes and garlic and cook until aromatic. Add the sugar and stir to combine. Season.
  3. Step 3

    Reduce heat to low and add the pasta and reserved cooking liquid to the wok or pan with the soy sauce. Stir until well combined and heated through.
