Vegemite chicken rolls with gravy


  • 20g butter
  • 2 tbs plain flour
  • 2 tsp miso paste
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 500ml Campbell’s Chicken Bone Broth
  • 4 long white rolls
  • 520g Coles Kitchen Family Coleslaw Salad Kit
  • 1 x Coles RSPCA Approved Hot Roast Vegemite Chicken, skin and bones removed, shredded

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 180°C. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the flour and cook, stirring, for 2-3 mins or until the mixture is grainy and turns nutty brown in colour. Remove from heat. Stir in the miso and honey. Gradually add the broth, whisking constantly until smooth. Cook, stirring, until the gravy comes to the boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for a further 10-12 mins or until the gravy thickens.
  2. Step 2

    Meanwhile, place the rolls on a large baking tray. Heat in the oven for 5-7 mins or until warm and crusty. Prepare the salad kit in a large bowl following packet directions.
  3. Step 3

    Use a serrated knife to split the rolls lengthways. Fill the rolls with salad and chicken. Drizzle with gravy to serve.
