1. Prepare the asparagus

Cut the woody ends off the asparagus.

2. Drizzle with oil

Drizzle asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle with salt – coating the food with oil gives it good flavour and helps it to cook nicely for great texture and appearance. If you oil the grill plate, you run the risk of the food burning.

3. Cook on a grill

Cook on a hot grill plate for 1-2 mins, turning frequently, until lightly charred.
