Try this short-cut for delicious BBQ chicken

1. Remove the backbone

Use sharp kitchen scissors to remove the backbone from a whole chicken to help it cook quickly and evenly on the barbecue.

2. Lightly coat in oil

To avoid flare-ups, lightly coat the chicken in oil before cooking – that way there won’t be excess oil on the grill.

3. Cook on a grill

For crisp skin, start cooking the chicken skin-side down then finish skin-side up. Butterflying means all of the chicken has contact with the grill for even cooking.
