For a golden snack with a fruity filling, try this simple slice. Drizzled in melted dark chocolate, it’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
Preheat your oven to 150 degrees celsius. Then grease and line the base with baking paper. You want the baking paper to extend over the two long sides so the slice is easy to lift out of the pan.
Combine the oats, sunflower seeds, flour, sultanas, apricots and coconut into a large bowl. Stir well, and then create a little well in the middle.
Combine the butter, sugar and honey in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, for five minutes or until the butter melts and all the sugar is dissolved.
Pour the butter mixture into the oat mixture and stir until it's combined. Spread the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 40 minutes or until golden and firm to the touch. Set aside in the pan to cool completely. Remove the slice from the pan and cut into pieces.
Drizzle with the chocolate, and just try stopping at one piece.
