Q: What does healthy living mean to you?
It’s about developing healthy habits and routines that can stay with you forever. For me it’s about exercising every day, eating a balanced diet full of vegetables and fruit and staying connected with friends and family.
Q: Why do you think it's important to lead a healthy lifetyle?
Everyone has different motivations and I have 2 clear ones when it comes to why I try and live a healthy lifestyle;
1.Exercising and eating well gives me the energy I need to work and run a business. I’m much more creative and less stressed when I’m exercising and eating well regularly.
2.I’m a new dad and I’m motivated to stay fit and mobile so I can kick the footy or have a hit of tennis in 10 years’ time with our son Ted.
Q: What's your best healthy food tip?
Eat your fruits instead of drinking them. Fruit contains fibre which helps release their sugars slowly.
Hi my name is James Podsiadly from AFL Max and Coles Healthy Kicks today i'm going to share with you one of my favourite ways to stay fit brought to you by Coles Healthier Living.
Core training, now having a strong core is super important for your posture and also reduces stress in your spine. Now if i'm going to give you one tip it's to add core planking into your workout. Let me show you what to do, here we go let's hit the mat.
Now, core planking core bracing whatever you want to call it at home we're going to start with, there's heaps of variations, we're going to start with the most basic which is on our elbows, okay so on your elbow. Elbows right underneath your shoulders up on your toes now we want to create as straight of a line as possible, okay nice neutral spine um make sure you keep breathing all the way through this but the idea, if you're going to focus on one thing i reckon focus on someone and pretending someone's about to punch you in the stomach okay so you've got to really make sure your abs are nice and tight.
Now the idea with core bracing why i love it so much it works more than just your abs, okay you can sort of see that your back needs to be switched on, your shoulders need to be switched on, your transverse abdominis all the deeper abdominal muscles your glutes need to be switched on your quads need to be switched on, um so from a posture perspective it's a great exercise to do.
30 seconds is enough for me today, I challenge you to do more which i'm sure you will. Now remember core bracing helps a lot of things obviously injury prevention but also activates a lot of muscles at the one time okay, and I guarantee you the more you do it the more people will notice.

The fiber and healthy fats in avocado are what make it a superfood for long lasting energy stores. It also contains many of the B vitamins that help with your red blood cell count which in turn helps regulate your iron levels!
